We have recently completed the replanting of two of the quadrant planters on Silbury Boulevard at the junction with North 10th Street.

This involved removing the old planting - including box hedging which was failing, and the central trees which had died.  We have laid new membrane to limit weed growth, and planted a variety of low-growing shrubs and herbs through the membrane, planted a new tree in each planter, and finished off with a layer of bark mulch.

We hope this new planting scheme will be more resilient to drought, and will provide some new colour in the planters once the plants get established.

We've planted: Purple sage (Salvia officinalis 'Purpurascens'), Thyme 'Doone Valley' (Thymus citriodorus), Lavender 'Hidcote' (Lavandula angustifolia), and two persimmon trees.

This work has been undertaken in partnership with CMK Town Council, and Milton Keynes City Council.
