We're happy to hear from small groups of corporate volunteers who would like to help out with our work for one session (or maybe a few!).

  • As we're a fairly small group ourselves, we can't accommodate large groups all at the same time.  Realistically teams of up to about 8 would be our maximum. Around 5/6 would be ideal.

  • If you have a larger team of employees wanting to help, perhaps we can work with you in small groups across several sessions.

  • We would ideally like a month or longer notice to organise a session. This is so we can plan the session effectively and ensure that the right people are available.  If you're contacting us at shorter notice than that, we'll do our best to sort something out, but we can't guarantee that.

  • We supply all tools (although you're welcome to bring your own if you wish). We also ask that you wear appropriate footwear - boots are best if you have them, or sturdy shoes. Trainers or sandals aren't really suitable. It's strongly advised that volunteers wear gardening gloves when working on site. We find that most volunteers prefer to bring their own gloves for hygiene reasons.  If any volunteer is unable to bring gloves, we'll try to lend them a pair if we can.

  • It would be really great (although not a requirement!) if your organisation would consider making a small donation to our funds to assist with the costs of providing tools etc and our general running costs. If you're able to do that, do let us know when you contact us.

  • Please note that we do only meet on Tuesdays (between 1045 and 1330). If that fits in with your requirements, please get in touch.

  • We ask all corporate volunteers to complete our one-day activity form - we need this for our public liability insurance and so we can comply with our legal obligations. The information we collect is also helpful to us in grant applications. Details of how we handle the data collected are available in our privacy policy. Corporate volunteers should fill in this form  (Icon-open-in-new-windowopens in a new window) before attending the session.

If you landed on this page via a search engine, please have a look round the rest of the site to see if we're a good fit with your volunteering needs.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.
